Registration

  • Come celebrate the cutest little members of our community in the Baby Contest at Elsberry’s 73rd Annual Fall Festival! All babies are winners, but a few will walk away with ribbons and bragging rights!

    Babies will be grouped by age:

    0–12 months

    13–24 months

    25–36 months

    And judged in fun, lighthearted categories like:

    Cutest Smile

    Best Outfit

    Chubbiest Cheeks

    Most Hair / Least Hair

    Crowd Favorite

    Best Overall

    (Each baby is eligible for multiple categories.)

    Awards

    - Ribbons and certificates for each category winner

    - $25 cash prize for Best Overall in each age group

    - All babies receive a participation ribbon!

    Rules & Guidelines

    - Check-in required 20 minutes before contest begins (10 AM).

    - Ages 0–36 months only, divided into age-based groups.

    - Parent/guardian must accompany baby at all times.

    - Outfits and props encouraged (keep it cute, not competitive).

    - Judging will be lighthearted—this is meant to be fun!

    - No talent or performance required—just show up and smile!

    - Photos will be taken for festival promotion (with parent permission).

    - Please keep babies comfortable and be mindful of weather conditions.
  • Think you’ve got talent? Show it off at Elsberry’s Got Talent! Whether you sing, dance, juggle, act, or do something completely unique—we want to see it!

    Prizes

    1st Place: $100

    2nd Place: $75

    3rd Place: $50

    Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on talent, creativity, and crowd response.

    Rules & Guidelines

    Time Limit: Each act must be no longer than 5 minutes.

    Family Friendly: All performances must be appropriate for a community/family event.

    Equipment: Basic sound system and microphones will be provided. You must bring your own instruments, props, or special equipment.

    Check-In Time: All performers must check in at the stage area by [12:30 PM] on the day of the event.

    Categories: All types of talents are welcome—music, dance, comedy, magic, dramatic reading, etc.

    Group Acts: Group entries share prize money.

    No Dangerous Acts: No fire, pyrotechnics, weapons, or anything unsafe.

    Respect Time: If your act goes over time, you may be stopped and disqualified.

    Judging: A panel of local judges will determine winners. Judges' decisions are final.

    Have Fun! This is a community event—show off your talent and enjoy the day!

  • Help us bring some BIG entertainment to our crowd of onlookers at the 73rd Annual Elsberry Fall Festival Parade! Enter your classic car, float, trailer, side-by-side, tractor, horses, or group of walkers. Toss out candy or other giveaway items. Entry in the parade is free, but all entries must register ahead of time. The parade route is from Broadway Extension to North 2nd Street. The parade will begin at 11 AM, but line up is at the Elsberry High School at 10:30.
  • Do you make the best pie in town? Prove it in our Pie Baking Contest!

    - One pie per entrant. Deliver to ECGA booth in City Park by 10 AM on October 4.

    - Pies must be homemade (no store-bought crusts or fillings)

    - All pies must be fruit-based (e.g., apple, cherry, berry, etc.)

    - Pies must be baked in a disposable pie tin

    - Bring pie with an index card listing ingredients (for allergy safety)

    Judging based on:

    - Taste (50%)

    - Presentation (25%)

    - Crust & Texture (25%)

    Winners announced during Elsberry's Got Talent

    Prizes

    - 1st Place: $100
    - 2nd Place: $75
    - 3rd Place: $50

    Ribbons and bragging rights!
  • Bring your appetite and leave your manners at the door!

    Ages: 10 and up

    Check in at ECGA booth at 12:15 PM

    Limited spots available!

    - Contestants must eat their pie without hands

    - No touching, picking up, or holding the pie plate

    - First person to finish their pie wins

    - In case of a tie, a timed “mini-pie” round will decide the winner

    - Judges’ decisions are final

    - Bring your appetite—and maybe a napkin!

    - 1st Place: $50

    - 2nd Place: $25

    - 3rd Place: $15

    Ribbon for all participants!
  • Get creative with straw and style in our Scarecrow Decorating Contest!

    Open to: Individuals, families, groups, or businesses

    Drop-off Time: 9 AM at ECGA booth in City Park

    Rules

    - Scarecrows must be family-friendly and appropriate for public display

    - Must be freestanding and no taller than 6 ft

    - Materials must be weather-resistant (scarecrows will be displayed outdoors)

    - Include a sign with name of entrant

    Judging categories:

    - Most Creative

    - Best Traditional Scarecrow

    - Funniest

    - Judge’s Favorite (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

    Scarecrows must be set up by 9:30 AM, and may be picked up after 1 PM

    Judging Time: 12 PM

    Ribbons will be awarded for category winners, cash prize for Judge's favorite 1-3.

    - 1st Place: $100

    - 2nd Place: $50

    - 3rd Place: $25

    Bring a yard sign with your name or group/business name to display by your scarecrow

  • Are you an artist, artisan, crafter, cook, or picker? Then sign up to be a vendor at the 73rd Annual Elsberry Fall Festival October 4! The day begins with our vendors in the park (ready by 9 a.m.) and includes a parade at 11 followed by the coronation of Festival King and Queen. There will also be live music and activities for children throughout the day. Set up begins at 7 a.m. Activities in the park will wrap up at 3 p.m.

    Please no multi-level marketing or direct sales applications (e.g. Paparazzi, Pampered Chef, etc...)
